Spotlight on the Staff

Each month we will feature one of our staff members
and shine the spotlight on them.
Pam Larson was born to Shiels and Geraldine (Cookie) Hoelscher in the city of San Mateo
, California. San Mateo is located twenty miles south of San Francisco.
She grew up within walking distance of Park School where she went to kindergarten through sixth grade. The following two years were spent at Borel Junior High School. Just prior to starting high school the family moved to the neighboring city of Burlingame. Pam graduated from Burlingame High just as her father had years before.
In September of 1969 Pam drove her 1959 Austin to Cheney, Washington where the car promptly “died” in front of Dressler Hall. Poor car never really recovered from the 1,000 mile journey. After receiving a B.A. in Education from Eastern Washington University, the next stop was Spokane.
Thirty-two years ago Pam joined the staff at Beautiful Savior as a teacher. She teaches a two-day, three-day, and four-day class in the Pre-School and oversees the Day Care. Besides teaching, her list of favorite things to do includes traveling (especially to visit her son and daughter-in-law in San Diego), gardening, reading, and browsing in antique shops.
